oops

Boo had a use the potty this afternoon. She stripped in the living room and started to run toward the hall for the bathroom. She must have decided she couldn't make it in time because she stopped and straddled the dog water dish and peed in there.

Then she said "oops"

At least it wasn't the floor.

I had a swell day yesterday with my friend as we trekked a few hours across the province for my first midwife appointment. It was perfectly clear and the mountains were gorgeous. We found it (sorta quickly) and jumped right into all of the "first visit" stuff and I have to say I love her. She's fabulous and she made it so perfectly clear to me that I am a definite exception to her rule of not accepting clients outside her radius of care. I think just that this is my third and the speed and ease of my delivery's helped to get me in. On any account, I'm grateful. I got to hear that beautiful little heartbeat and am only measuring 6 weeks ahead in fundal height :) We only heard one heartbeat but I'll confirm that on the 8th.

I'm starting to knit for this little one already! I'll post something when I finish one.

I got a call from our caseworker yesterday and our last homecheck/social worker sign off is Monday night! I can't believe we are actually close to being done.

My birthday was great and my gifts had a sheep theme this year it seems as Mark got me a lovely sheepskin, friends got my beautiful wool yarn, and I got myself boiled wool simple boots. I was very spoiled.



And lastly, I can barely get a decent picture of myself for my twelve week shot so this one will have to suffice until I can manage something better.

Setting the glue on a kitchen for the Christmas Market tomorrow. If it doesn't sell I'll post it up on here for a while for anyone who lives close by that may want it.





How is it even possible that grinding up deer meet for sausage doesn't bring on even the slightest bit of nauseousness but butternut squash soup (which I normally love) makes me heave? All in all, I am having more good days than bad/sick ones and I'm eleven weeks which means my placenta is starting to work which should eliminate my sickness completely soon! I'm getting big and I'll take a picture for you at twelve weeks. I'm so excited to have another baby!!!!! We already have names which is unheard of for us. Alberta was named two days after she was born. Grow baby grow! OH, and on the foster care front... Nothing. Still waiting to hear from our social worker. What a SLOW process.

a plan!

It appears as if I'll be having this baby in Canmore! What a fun vacation! Rural Albertan's are pretty out of luck when it comes to finding a midwife (especially me, as I'm hoping for a labor over 30 minutes) but I'm resilient and not above begging. So... as long as there is only one baby in there, this plan is a go.


Don't worry, I'm not driving there while in Labor :) I'm not that silly. We're renting a condo!

I really did enjoy this Book. Think I need to read it again. I didn't have to agree with everything she says to learn from it. Any other good book suggestions for me, in any category?
